Women – do we need to do it all?

May 26, 2021 by Kate Leave a Comment

Being a Woman. Is that synonymous with Doing It All? Why does society give us this message? And how can we shut that out to live a healthier, happier, whole life?

Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Kate. A woman, mum, nutritionist, partner, daughter, dancer, blogger, friend, foodie and dog lover. Like you, I do a lot (and have often felt like that is not enough).

I’ve spent much of my life being sick and sensitive. I’ve had cancer twice, asthma, allergies, migraines, headaches, herpes, haemorrhoids, and a number of genetic malfunctions! Life has been hard!

But it has also been beautiful. I am grateful for my amazing family and friends, who have helped me through some of the darkest times. And I am grateful for my sensitivity. Without it, I wouldn’t see, feel and live with such passion and ferocity.

How I’ve recovered

Learning NOT to do it all has been the key to my recovery. As a woman living with sensitivity, I need to look after myself, maybe more than most. I need time to meditate, time to be alone, time making real connections, time in nature, time to make wholesome food, time to eat cake (gluten free cake, but still cake!). And that means sharing the jobs that often get delegated to women without a second thought – even in this day and age! And letting things go – we do not have to do it all!

Accepting myself and putting my needs first, allows me to live the life that makes me healthy and happy.

Helping others live their best life

My absolute passion in life is helping others live their best lives too. I am a degree-qualified clinical nutritionist, with a holistic practice. It’s not just about food, it’s about YOU. What you like, what you need, and I give you all the support and guidance you need to live it!

HELPING OTHERS LIVE THEIR BEST LIFE IS WHAT I DO

My one on one consults are all about you. I find out what you eat, what you like to do, what health problems you have, your energy, your sleep, your everything. I do all this via Zoom, so you don’t even need to travel. Everything is tailored personally to you, and I’ll send you a follow up email with all the notes from our consult and some handouts too.

I specialise in helping busy women and their kids, who feel overwhelmed, sick and tired. My absolute joy in life is seeing my beautiful clients live the best lives they were born to live. Eating real food again, not feeling constantly sick.

What my clients say & how I help you

A recent client wrote about me:

“Kate was so knowledgeable and supportive from the start. She put us on a plan, guided me through, helped me with alternatives and actual products to buy. She was so understanding about the overwhelm and always happy to help.”

Change can be hard for us all, woman, man or child. I am here to hold your hand, because I’ve been through it all before and I truly understand.

There is a system to establishing what your sensitivities are and getting stronger to manage them. We will set some goals together and get you there!

If you’re feeling bad, it doesn’t have to be that way

The overwhelm when we are sick and tired seems insurmountable! Everything feels hard, we feel constantly sick with one thing or another. Every little thing seems to set us off, whether its food or family or fumes. We feel reactive, exhausted and sore. That makes us frustrated, unhappy and we don’t sleep! And that just makes it worse, right?!?

All these things can go away with effective holistic care. You can feel energised, balanced and productive again! You can feel healthy, eating what makes you feel good. Be happy and have time for yourself again, without the woman guilt we can carry around. Get out of the shit hole!!! Come and join me in saying, Holy Shit, now I feel good!

Book a consult today, beautiful. You deserve it!
