Your health is ALL the things within and around you that affect how you feel. Your health is your whole self.
Our environment is as important as our food. Our mindset is equal to our movement. And when we acknowledge this need for a whole, or holistic approach, we start to heal. Blue Zones show this to be true.
Food and more
Food intolerance is how I first became interested in health and nutrition, and is still a big part of what I do. But over the years it has become about so much more than just food! Through my own health journey, and guiding my family and clients over the years, I have realised – what we eat is important, but alone cannot transform us.
The ONLY way I feel I can guide you in whole body healing is by showing you all the ways in which true health can be felt. The journey towards a healthier you is through understanding your habits and the thoughts that got you here. It’s about accepting who you are right now. And showing yourself some compassion as you seek to make improvements.
Acceptance is key
We can only improve when we accept where we are RIGHT NOW. Grateful for all that we have, and all the lessons that have lead us to this moment. Knowing that it is not our fault for being sick, but in the same breath, taking responsibility for our choices and our future.
By loving ourselves as we are, whole and with all our faults, we can open up to new ways of being. And from this space come the first small steps towards a healthier future.
Nutrition to get back in alignment for healing
All of what we say, do, think and believe affects our current state of being. Nutrition is an excellent tool to begin your journey – regulating your blood sugar, avoiding things that flare your symptoms, correcting deficiencies. Then comes more self-care for your whole self – meditation, time in nature, moving more, resetting circadian rhythms to improve sleep, managing stress and so much more.
Women’s health
Women, especially, are doing all of the things – keeping all the balls in the air for family, home and work. Why are we still putting ourselves last? Maybe it is ingrained in our beliefs from childhood and ancestors, that we are the caretakers. But now, we work too, and often it is on top of all the other things. But this can lead to poor digestion, dysregulated hormones, not enough rest, chronic symptoms and exhaustion.
Simple tools and learning to listen to our bodies can make all the difference in creating the lives we want to live. It is possible to take care of ourselves properly, reduce symptoms, feel better. It’s achievable to change old patterns of thinking and create new pathways towards greater health and happiness. With a little trusted guidance you can find your own inner compass, and once you do, it’s all you need and you will always know your way.
I support women because I have been through my own long journey with breast cancer and chronic illness and I love to share my learnings with women looking to find a better way.
